Austin Downtown Condos: Moving Checklist for New Owners

More people now realize the advantages of living in Austin downtown condos. However, before you pack your bags and furniture to move to your new condominium unit, you need to make a checklist. This list will help you moving in to your new home smoothly and with ease. First, do not create a schedule with the moving company without checking if the condominium unit is ready for occupancy. There might be some repairs or minor construction going on. Second, measure all the doors inside the unit to check if your furniture and appliances will fit in. Third, check with the administration manager of the condominium building if there are certain rules that should be followed when moving in. For instance, the elevator to use, documents to sign, guest ID’s to procure for the movers, and other regulations to avoid delay or cause for inconvenience for other residents. You would not want to alienate your new neighbors as soon as you step into the building. Fifth, keep a separate folder for all the official documents such as receipts, contract of agreement, and other key signed forms that you may need for compliance and place them in your bag for easy access.
